When a player first starts, teach the grip as taught in our power swing tutorials and Do the things below to teach the correct motions, aiming and stance. You will also build a player’s confidence and players will enjoy their golf a lot more.
Use a tee
I have found it much more beneficial for players to learn to hit the ball from a tee for every shot. power, chipping and bunker, it is much better to learn the correct hand wrist and forearm motion without the extra strain put on them when hitting off the ground and taking a divot, many bad habits can from if a player is not ready or able to do this.
Use a mat
I would also recommend the use of a small mat with a tee (use on the course as well), it should be around about 30 cm long this is ideal, with the tee toward the front of the mat, learn to use the mat to aim, then use the mat to get ball position and stance width. It helps you learn and stops bad habits forming.
Use helpful clubs
Use a high lofted cut down driver with a soft shaft flex .adults about 40 inches long and for kids get help from a professional to get the right length, a pitching wedge with a graphite shaft is great addition, lastly a putter with aim lines 4-8 degrees of loft and not too short, adults 34 to 38 inches is ideal depending on your build, children should be fitted for length
Use a Ball That is Marked
Using a ball with cross lines marked on it can greatly help you with aiming and ball position and clubface alignment, check out the photos and videos for more help.
